Arkansas SBA to Host Webinars for Veterans Small Business Week

November 2 through 6 is National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW). The SBA Arkansas District Office is offering a series of informative webinars to help you transition from military service to small business startup. #VetBiz

Mon. 11/2 - 12:00 pm CST: Transitioning from Service to Startup SBA experts will discuss transition assistance resources for service members, veterans, and military spouses including the Boots to Business program and Veterans Business Outreach Centers across the country. No registration is required; the event will stream LIVE on the Boots to Business Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/boots2business

Tues. 11/3 - 3:00 pm CST: Mission Essential Small Business Resources for Women Veterans SBA empowers women service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses with entrepreneurial trainings and resources right in their local community. Learn about no-cost training programs and support for veterans, service-disabled veterans, and veterans interested in federal procurement. 

Weds. 11/4 - 2:00 pm CST: Funding Options for Your Veteran-Owned Small Business Are you a U.S. veteran who needs funding to start a business or expand an existing one? Learn about the business financing process and different sources of capital for veteran-0wned businesses, including SBA-backed loans, traditional bank loans, microloans, and alternative funding sources.

Thurs. 11/5 - 12:00 pm CST: Leveraging your Network & Resources This panel discussion will highlight best practices for overcoming a disaster, tips for pivoting during the pandemic, and the importance of leveraging your network and resources throughout your small business journey.

Fri. 11/6 - 10:00 am CST: Arkansas Veterans' Small Business Summit Representatives from the Arkansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center, U.S. Small Business Administration, SCORE, Arkansas Small Business Technology Development Center, Arkansas Women’s Business Center, The Conductor and others will be on-hand to give you a short overview of how they can help your business access the counseling, capital or contracts your business needs. This local network of resources is available to small business at all stages and offers free confidential business counseling, no or low-cost training programs and other networking opportunities. Followed by a training focused on how to receive certification for the service-disabled veteran owned small business owner.
